27th Rufford Small Grant Conference at Montenegro
It was our special pleasure that we hosted experienced biologists in beautiful Montenegro. Almost 13% of Montenegro territory is already under protection. Today, Montenegro has 5 national parks, one regional park and several areas under international protection. But we have a lot of problems, such as lack of knowledge on distribution of species, threats, importance on conservation etc. so we need help from researchrs and conservationists from other countries in order to find easier solution for problems not yet resolved.
So you have a lot of reason to come and see our natural treasure to personally enjoy in its beauty and to feel how connections between biologists who do conservation, researcher, education etc. is very important in order to do the best for our nature!!!!
The Rufford Small Grant Conference Montenegro was organized by Marine Mammal Research Association (DMAD) and Natural History Association of Montenegro (DPCG) funded by The Rufford Foundation.
The conference aims to exchange of experience of researchers during the realisation of their projects funded by Rufford Small Grants. Also aims to establish an online platform for an accurate and effective cross border nature conservation network in the East Adriatic.
This platform will be used to create an online “Adriatic Nature Conservation Database” in order to standardise methodologies and support data analyses between research groups.
